Silverado Resort and Spa Appoints Peter Burwash International to Direct Tennis Program Beginning March 1, 2011
NAPA, CA (February 28, 2011) ─ Silverado Resort and Spa is pleased to announce the selection of Peter Burwash International (PBI) to direct the tennis program for the iconic Napa Valley property beginning March 1, 2011. Recognized for world-class personalized instruction and exceptional customer service, PBI will coordinate instructional programs and energizing tennis activities for the resort’s 13 plexi-paved tennis courts, three of which are lit for night play. PBI will also oversee Silverado’s pro shop offering the latest tennis equipment and apparel.
PBI has named Jacob Hansen as Tennis Director and James Rutherford as Head Professional, both of whom have managed tennis programs for PBI at other luxury resorts across the United States including Naples Grande Beach Resort in Naples, Florida and Rancho Las Palmas Resort & Spa in Rancho Mirage, California. Hansen and Rutherford will introduce PBI’s widely acclaimed Tennis for Life® program, featuring private and group instruction, junior tennis, social and competitive tournaments, Cardio Tennis™ and player matching. In addition, all guests playing tennis at Silverado Resort and Spa will be included in PBI's "Player Notebook," a lesson continuity program which records summaries of previous lessons and personal tennis preferences for return visits to Silverado as well as other PBI tennis destinations.
“We chose PBI for their experience and expertise in providing high quality tennis instruction and activities for luxury resorts,” says General Manager John Evans. “We are confident PBI will bring a new dimension of excitement and quality to our guest activities at Silverado Resort and Spa.”
