Azhar Zainudin
TENNIS DIRECTOR

Azhar took an interest in sports from an early age – picking up tennis and soccer at the age of seven. By the time he was 15, he had represented Singapore at the International Tennis Federation (ITF) Juniors around Asia.
Azhar graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Advertising & Design, but decided to pursue his first love – tennis. He joined The American Club as a part-time tennis coach in 1992 at the age of 18.
Fast forward 10 years to 2002, Azhar was appointed the Club’s Tennis Director. He left the Club in 2004 to gain exposure as a tennis professional, where he coached at various properties including the Swiss Club, Hollandse Club, the Fairmont and Shangri-la Hotel. Azhar joined Peter Burwash International (PBI) in 2007 and returned to The American Club to coach.
